Hightower Falls is a private facility for special occasions and is only open for appointments and events. There are 100 acres in a park-like setting that provides a natural habitat for deer and wild turkey. In this respect, we have bseen described as "elegant rustic." The backdrop for outdoor weddings is the gristmill ruins and an 80 foot waterfall.
We are located between Rockmart and Cedartown off Highway 278; one hour northwest of Atlanta, Georgia.
Our pricing is a site fee similar to that of a hotel. The "Back Porch" building is set up and ready when you arrive. We provide tables, chairs, and tablecloths in a fully decorated facility, with outside setup included. We are there to facilitate and coordinate each event.
Most items are provided for the ceremony. Items that are offered at no extra charge include unity table, brass candle stand, four small tables for flowers or ferns and several archways to choose from. A lapel microphone is provided for the minister, if not provided by the D.J. A staff member is present to direct your wedding party as rehearsal and during the ceremony. This allows you to provide your choice of food service, minister, music provider, photographer, and personal flowers. A list of vendors is offered that have been here before and with whom we are familiar (if you wish to use any of them). Because we allow outside vendors at Hightower Falls, we ask for their names and phone numbers in order to coordinate details to insure everything will go as smoothly as possible. We prefer not to have last minute surprises as do they.
The back yard wedding site will accommodate up to 120 people. Larger weddings are held on the gristmill lawn. Both areas have a waterfall backdrop. Keep in mind that 50 percent to 60 percent of the invited guests usually attend.
The wedding package includes Friday night from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for rehearsal and, if you choose, rehearsal dinner. Saturday, the day of the wedding, seven hours are included -- normally, three hours ahead of the ceremony for vendor setup and four hours after the ceremony for reception and vendor cleanup.
